Emerald Whiskey Delight
A traditional Irish Coffee made with Jameson Irish whiskey, sugar, hot coffee, and a creamy whipped topping. Perfect for a cozy evening or festive celebration.
Ingredients
- 2 oz Jameson Irish whiskey
- 2 tsp demerara or brown sugar
- 6 oz freshly brewed hot coffee
- 2 tbsp lightly whipped heavy cream
Instructions
- Warm a stemmed glass coffee mug by pouring boiling water into it, swirling, and then discarding the water.
- Pour the Jameson whiskey into the warmed glass.
- Add the sugar to the glass.
- Pour the hot coffee into the glass, leaving about an inch of space from the rim.
- Stir until the sugar has dissolved completely.
- Hold a spoon upside-down just above the coffee and gently pour the whipped cream over the back of the spoon to create a layer of cream on top of the coffee.
- Optional: Garnish with a trimmed vanilla pod, cinnamon stick, or a grating of fresh nutmeg.
- Serve the coffee on a plate with no spoon, and enjoy drinking it through the layer of cream.
