Ingredients
- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- 4 ounces freshly brewed hot coffee
- 1 ounce Irish whiskey
Instructions
- Create the brown sugar syrup by boiling the brown sugar and water in a saucepan until the sugar dissolves, then letting it cool.
- Using a stand mixer or hand-held whisk, whip the cream with 1/4 cup of the cooled brown sugar syrup until it thickens.
- In an Irish coffee glass or mug, combine the coffee, whiskey, and 1/2 ounce of the brown sugar syrup to taste.
- Top with the prepared whipped cream and serve.
