Ingredients

  • 1.50 oz bourbon, preferably Old Grand-Dad
  • 1.50 oz Cognac, preferably Pierre Ferrand 1840
  • 1.50 oz aged rum, preferably Myers's
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1.50 farm fresh eggs
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of freshly grated nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Separate the eggs.
  2. Whisk the yolks and sugar until they thicken and turn pale yellow.
  3. Slowly add the bourbon, Cognac, rum, milk, and cream while continuing to whisk.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites and salt until stiff peaks form.
  5. Gently fold the egg whites into the mixture.
  6. Store in the refrigerator until well chilled.
  7. When ready to serve, pour into a chilled glass and top with freshly grated nutmeg.
