Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp coarse smoked salt
  • 1 tbsp coarse white decorator sugar
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges
  • Ice
  • 1 fl oz tequila
  • 0.75 fl oz lime juice
  • 0.50 fl oz mezcal
  • 2 fl oz club soda
  • 1 tbsp pomegranate simple syrup

Instructions

  1. Combine smoked salt and decorator sugar on a small plate.
  2. Rub the rim of a Collins glass with a wedge of lime, then dip the rim into the salt-sugar mixture. Fill the glass with ice.
  3. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add tequila, lime juice, and mezcal.
  4. Cover the shaker and shake well until very cold.
  5. Strain the mixture into the prepared glass and add club soda.
  6. Slowly drizzle the pomegranate simple syrup into the glass; the syrup will settle at the bottom, creating a visually appealing color variation.
