Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz. rum
  • 1/2 oz. Campari
  • 1/2 oz. Averna
  • 3/4 oz. fresh lime juice
  • 3/4 oz. spiced syrup
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • Allspice berries
  • Whole cloves
  • Cinnamon stick
  • Sugar
  • Water
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine 4 cups of water with allspice berries, whole cloves, and a cinnamon stick.
  2. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and let simmer for 20 minutes.
  3. Slowly add sugar, stirring constantly until completely dissolved.
  4. Add more sugar, stir to dissolve, then remove from the heat and let cool.
  5. In a shaker with ice, combine rum, Campari, Averna, fresh lime juice, spiced syrup, and Angostura bitters.
  6. Shake to chill and strain into a coupe.
