Ingredients
- 1.50 oz Rye Whiskey (Camus VSOP Borderies)
- 0.50 oz Cognac
- 0.25 oz Simple Syrup
- 3 dashes Bitters (Peychauds)
- 1 splash Absinthe (Lucid)
- 1 Lemon Peel (for garnish)
Instructions
- Fill a serving glass with ice to chill.
- In a mixing glass, combine the rye whiskey, cognac, simple syrup, and bitters. Add ice and stir until well mixed.
- Discard the ice from the chilled glass and swirl the inside of the glass with absinthe, discarding any excess.
- Strain the cocktail into the prepared glass.
- Garnish with an expressed lemon twist.
