Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup coconut milk
  • 2 tbsp coconut cream
  • 1/4 cup coconut condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup plant milk (such as almond milk)
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • cinnamon (to taste)
  • nutmeg (to taste)
  • 2 tbsp white rum
  • 1 tbsp coconut rum
  • 1/2 tbsp brandy or bourbon

Instructions

  1. In a high-speed blender, combine the coconut milk, coconut cream, coconut condensed milk, plant milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  2. Blend on high speed for a few minutes until well combined.
  3. Taste the mixture and adjust the flavors as needed.
  4. Add the white rum, coconut rum, and brandy, if desired, and blend briefly to incorporate.
  5. Transfer the coquito to a sealed bottle or jug, and add a cinnamon stick if desired.
  6. Chill the coquito in the refrigerator overnight or for at least 4 to 6 hours.
  7. Before serving, shake or stir the coquito to ensure the ingredients are well mixed.
  8. Serve in glasses, and garnish with a cinnamon stick and coconut flakes. Enjoy!
