Coconut water brings just enough sweetness to this frozen coconut margarita to add flavor to the drink without making it too sweet.
Coconut Dream Margarita
A frozen coconut margarita with the perfect touch of sweetness, thanks to the addition of coconut water and cream of coconut.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup coconut water
- 1/8 cup tequila
- 1/8 cup fresh lime juice (from 1 medium lime)
- 1 1/2 tablespoons triple sec
- 1 1/2 tablespoons sweetened cream of coconut (such as Coco López)
- 1 cup ice cubes
- Pinch of kosher salt
- Lime wedge for garnish
Instructions
- Freeze the coconut water in a small, shallow plastic container or ice-cube tray for 4 to 5 hours until solid.
- Place the frozen coconut water in a blender.
- Add tequila, lime juice, triple sec, cream of coconut, ice, and salt to the blender.
- Process until smooth, about 30 seconds.
- Pour into a frozen rocks glass and garnish with a lime wedge.
