Ingredients
- 3 1/2 oz. coconut milk
- 2 1/2 oz. coconut cream
- 3 1/2 oz. condensed milk
- 3 oz. evaporated milk
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cinnamon stick
- a pinch of nutmeg
- 1 1/2 oz. dark rum
Instructions
- In a large saucepan, combine the coconut milk, coconut cream, condensed milk, evaporated milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon stick, and a pinch of nutmeg.
- Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring frequently until it begins to bubble.
- Remove the pan from the heat, cover, and let it infuse for 30 minutes.
- Add the dark rum and stir thoroughly.
- Discard the cinnamon stick and chill the coquito in the fridge until cold, approximately 1 to 2 hours.
- Serve with a dusting of nutmeg on top.
