Citrus Bliss Fizz
A delightful and frothy citrus-infused cocktail with a hint of nutmeg, perfect for a refreshing summer drink.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon loosely packed fresh lemon verbena leaves (optional)
- Peel of 1/4 orange
- Peel of 1/4 lemon
- 1/4 teaspoon orange-flower water
- 3/4 cup ice cubes
- 1 tablespoon gin
- 1 tablespoon whipping cream
- 1/2 large egg white
- 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
- Freshly ground nutmeg
- Fresh lemon verbena sprig (optional)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, and lemon verbena leaves. Add orange and lemon peels and bring to a boil, then simmer for 5 minutes. Allow the syrup to cool and stir in the orange-flower water.
- In a blender, combine 6 tablespoons of the syrup, 3 cups of ice, gin, cream, egg white, and lemon juice. Blend until smooth and foamy, then pour into a glass.
- Repeat the blending process for the remaining ingredients to make additional servings.
- Sprinkle the drinks with freshly ground nutmeg and garnish with a lemon verbena sprig, if desired.
