Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup half-and-half
  • 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar, sifted
  • 1/4 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 oz bourbon
  • 1/2 cup brewed coffee, preferably chicory coffee, cooled
  • A pinch of freshly grated nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the whole milk, half-and-half, confectioners' sugar, vanilla extract, bourbon, cooled coffee, and nutmeg in a bowl.
  2. Cover and freeze until slushy, about 3 hours.
  3. Stir and serve in chilled glass mugs or tall glasses, topped with a grating of nutmeg.
