Ingredients
- 1 medium orange
- 5 oz. red wine
- 2 tbsp spiced rum
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 clove
- 1 star anise pod
- 2 tsp granulated sugar
Instructions
- Slice the orange into rounds, reserving a few slices for garnish.
- In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the red wine, spiced rum, remaining orange slices, cinnamon stick, clove, star anise, and granulated sugar.
- Gently heat the mixture until it is just below simmering, and let it infuse for about 20 minutes, being careful not to bring it to a boil.
