Ingredients

  • 2 large tomatoes (cut into quarters)
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tablespoon pickle juice (or caper juice)
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Pinch of dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon hickory smoked sea salt
  • Pinch of ground black pepper
  • 3 ounces Homemade Bloody Mary Mix
  • 1.50 ounces vodka (I suggest Tito's)
  • Garnishes: olives, pickles, lime, celery, green onions, pearl onions

Instructions

  1. Place the tomatoes, basil, pickle juice, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, smoked sea salt, and black pepper in a soup pot.
  2. Bring the mixture to medium-low heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the tomatoes cook down and become tender.
  3. Use an immersion blender to blend the mixture until smooth, then refrigerate until chilled before using.
  4. Combine vodka and Homemade Bloody Mary Mix in a glass with ice; stir to combine.
  5. Garnish with desired condiments and serve.
