Ingredients
- 2 large tomatoes (cut into quarters)
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
- 1 tablespoon pickle juice (or caper juice)
- 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Pinch of dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon hickory smoked sea salt
- Pinch of ground black pepper
- 3 ounces Homemade Bloody Mary Mix
- 1.50 ounces vodka (I suggest Tito's)
- Garnishes: olives, pickles, lime, celery, green onions, pearl onions
Instructions
- Place the tomatoes, basil, pickle juice, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, smoked sea salt, and black pepper in a soup pot.
- Bring the mixture to medium-low heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the tomatoes cook down and become tender.
- Use an immersion blender to blend the mixture until smooth, then refrigerate until chilled before using.
- Combine vodka and Homemade Bloody Mary Mix in a glass with ice; stir to combine.
- Garnish with desired condiments and serve.
