Ingredients

  • 2 fresh ripe strawberries, hulled and washed
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 6 oz chilled pink moscato or rosé
  • 1 tablespoon limoncello
  • 1/4 cup frozen raspberries
  • 1/4 cup frozen hulled and halved strawberries
  • 2 tablespoons frozen blueberries
  • 3-4 fresh mint leaves
  • 2-3 thin slices of lemon, seeds discarded

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the strawberries, sugar, and water over medium heat.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Remove from heat, cover, and allow the syrup to cool to room temperature.
  4. Press the syrup through a mesh sieve in small batches, discarding the pulp and seeds.
  5. In a large pitcher, combine 1/4 cup of the strawberry syrup with the moscato, limoncello, frozen berries, mint leaves, and lemon slices.
  6. Pour the sangria into ice-filled stemware, and add a scoop of fruit to each glass.
  7. Garnish with a strawberry slotted onto the edge of the glass.
