Ingredients

  • 3.50 oz mixed berries (raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, red currants, blackberries)
  • 1 oz ginger, grated
  • 1.50 cups brown sugar
  • 6.75 oz pomegranate juice (unsweetened)
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 4 tsp rooibos tea
  • 2 cups water
  • Fresh peppermint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rinse the berries and place them in a large pot.
  2. Add the grated ginger, lemon juice, brown sugar, and pomegranate juice to the pot.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil and let it simmer for 10 minutes without a cover.
  4. Allow the syrup to cool down, then strain it and pour it into a bottle. Refrigerate the syrup.
  5. Prepare the tea by bringing 2 cups of water to a boil.
  6. Remove from heat and add the rooibos tea. Let it steep for 5 minutes, then strain and let it cool down.
  7. Add the berry syrup to the cooled tea according to your preference, filling a glass or less.
  8. Stir the mixture and refrigerate.
  9. Serve the Berry Bliss Ice Tea with ice cubes and garnish with berries, such as pieces of strawberries or red currants, and mint leaves.
