Autumn Thyme Sipper
A delightful bourbon and apple brandy cocktail with a touch of thyme-infused sweetness, perfect for sipping in the autumn.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 4 sprigs fresh thyme
- 1 oz bourbon
- 1 oz apple brandy
- 1 oz fresh apple cider
- 1/2 oz thyme simple syrup
- 1/2 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Dash of Angostura bitters
- Garnish: dried or fresh apple slice (optional)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar and water, and stir until the sugar dissolves.
- Remove from heat, add the thyme, steep for 15 minutes, then strain out the thyme and refrigerate the syrup to chill.
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add bourbon, apple brandy, apple cider, thyme syrup, lemon juice, and a dash of bitters.
- Shake well and strain into a chilled martini glass.
- Garnish with a dried or fresh apple slice, if desired.
