A warm and inviting mulled cider cocktail with the flavors of fall – apple, maple, and spices, enhanced with a hint of ginger liqueur.
Ingredients
- 1 cup apple cider
- 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1/2 teaspoon whole allspice berries
- 1 star anise pod
- 2 tablespoons bourbon
- 1 tablespoon ginger liqueur (such as Domaine de Canton(r))
Instructions
- In a small pot, combine apple cider and maple syrup.
- Add the cinnamon stick, allspice berries, and star anise.
- Cover and bring the mixture to a simmer over low heat, then continue to gently simmer for 30 minutes.
- Stir in the bourbon and ginger liqueur.
- Pour the cocktail into a heatproof glass to serve.
