Ingredients
- 1 tbsp loose chai tea leaves
- 1 bottle rye whiskey
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1.50 oz chai-infused rye whiskey
- 1 oz apple cider
- 3/4 oz cinnamon simple syrup
- 1/2 oz lemon juice
- 1 pinch fresh grated nutmeg
Instructions
- Infuse the rye whiskey by mixing loose chai tea leaves into the whiskey and allowing it to sit for several hours before straining out the tea.
- Make the cinnamon simple syrup by combining a cinnamon stick, sugar, and water in a pot, warming it until the sugar dissolves, and then refrigerating it until cool.
- In a cocktail shaker over ice, combine 1.5 oz chai-infused rye whiskey, 1 oz apple cider, 3/4 oz cinnamon simple syrup, and 1/2 oz lemon juice.
- Shake the mixture for 10-15 seconds.
