Ingredients
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1/3 honeycrisp apple, chopped
- 1/6 orange, thinly sliced
- 5 oz red wine (light-bodied Spanish variety)
- 1 oz homemade apple cider or store-bought
- 1/2 oz brandy
- 1/4 oz orange juice (or juice from 1/2 medium orange)
- Juice from 1/2 lemon
- Club soda, to taste
Instructions
- Place the cinnamon stick, chopped apple, and orange slice in a glass pitcher.
- Add the red wine, apple cider, brandy, orange juice, and lemon juice.
- Allow the mixture to sit in the refrigerator for 6-24 hours.
- If a sweeter taste is desired, add 1-2 tablespoons of granulated sugar, honey, or agave.
- For a cinnamon-sugar rim, moisten the rim of the glasses with water and dip it into a mix of cinnamon and sugar.
- Pour in the sangria with fruit and add a splash of club soda.
